Grading Terms, Conditions & Guidelines | 4 Sharp Corners

At 4 Sharp Corners, we treat your collection with the same care and respect as our own. To ensure a seamless, transparent, and successful grading experience, we have outlined our complete terms and conditions below. This information covers everything you need to know before submitting your items to our facility for PSA grading—including submission standards, shipping protocols, payment processes, and liability. Please review these details carefully before packaging your collection. By understanding and following these guidelines, we can process your submission safely and efficiently.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting cards to 4 Sharp Corners ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for third-party grading by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to all the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
  2. Services Provided

4 Sharp Corners acts strictly as a facilitator and authorized group submitter between the Customer and PSA. We are responsible for receiving your items, preparing them for submission, transporting them to PSA, and returning them to you upon completion. We are not a grading company and have no influence over the grades assigned by PSA.
    1. Condition of Items: We will send the cards to PSA in the exact condition in which they are received. We do not offer card cleaning, reviewing, or pre-grading services. Each card should be placed in a new, clear penny sleeve and then into a graded card submission semi-rigid holder (such as a Card Saver I). Please do not send in top loaders, hard acrylic cases or screw down holders. Cards that do not comply with these submission standards are subject to additional fees or return to submitter at submitter’s expense.
    2. Submission Types: We accept both standard numerical grading and "Authentic Only" submissions (subject to certain PSA limitations). However, we do not accept "crossover" submissions (cards already graded by other companies) at this time.
    3. Submission Limits: There are no minimum or maximum limits on the number of cards you can submit although certain minimums are required to receive value pricing.
  3. Estimated Turnaround Times & Tracking

We will process and submit your cards to PSA within five (5) business days of receiving them at our facility. All turnaround times provided by 4 Sharp Corners are strictly estimates based on current PSA processing times and the service level selected.
    1. Turnaround times begin when the submission is officially logged at the PSA facility, not when it is received by 4 Sharp Corners.
    2. Customers can track the status of their submissions via our grading services portal and will receive automated email updates throughout the process.
    3. We are not liable for delays caused by PSA, shipping carriers, or acts of nature. No refunds or discounts will be provided for delayed submissions.
  4. Fees, Upcharges, and Payment

    1. Submission Fees: Base grading fees are determined by the service level selected at the time of submission.
    2. PSA Upcharges: PSA reserves the right to upcharge a card if its post-graded value exceeds the maximum declared value allowed for the chosen service level. The Customer is 100% responsible for any upcharges levied by PSA.
    3. Payment Due: We collect payment at time of submission based on initial estimated grading expenses. You will be invoiced for the final grading fees, return shipping, and any applicable upcharges once the cards are returned to our facility. Payment must be made in full before cards will be released for pickup or shipped back to you.
  5. Shipping, Insurance, and Risk of Loss

    1. Customer to 4 Sharp Corners: The Customer bears all risk of loss or damage while items are in transit to our facility. We strongly recommend purchasing adequate transit insurance. (Note: Customers who drop off items in person at our shop or at a card show avoid these initial shipping costs and risks).
    2. In Our Possession & Transit to PSA: Once verified and logged at our facility, your cards are covered by our commercial insurance up to your declared value while in our possession and while in transit to and from PSA.
    3. At PSA: While at PSA's facility, items are covered under PSA’s standard terms and conditions.
    4. Return Shipping: Return shipping and insurance will be determined based on the total final graded value of the cards being returned to you. This cost will be added to your final invoice.
  6. Limitation of Liability & Grading Results

    1. 4 Sharp Corners is not liable for any subjective grades, designations (e.g., qualifiers), or authenticity rejections given by PSA.
    2. In the rare event that PSA damages or loses a card, 4 Sharp Corners will advocate on your behalf to claim compensation from PSA based on their declared value policies, but 4 Sharp Corners assumes no direct financial liability for damage or loss caused by PSA.
    3. We are not responsible for any pre-existing damage, surface scratches, or print lines on cards submitted to us. We will handle all items with the utmost professional care while in our possession.
  7. Unclaimed Items & Failed Payments

If payment for grading services fails or an invoice remains unpaid, you will have three (3) business days to respond to our outreach. If no contact is made within that timeframe, 4 Sharp Corners reserves the right to automatically consign the submitted items through our eBay store. All accumulated costs (grading fees, upcharges, shipping, and storage) will be deducted from the final sale price to cover all PSA and administrative costs. If the proceeds from consigned items do not cover these costs, we reserve the right to seek other remedies to collect payment from the submitter.
  8. Agreement to PSA's Terms

By using our submission service, you simultaneously agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) regarding their grading and authentication services.
  9. Consignment Program Terms

    1. Authorization to Sell: By electing to consign your cards after grading, the Customer grants 4 Sharp Corners the exclusive right to market and sell the submitted items immediately upon their return from PSA.
    2. Additional Terms: The consignment program is governed by its own specific list of terms and conditions. Detailed information regarding these terms can be found within the consignment portal or on our website.
  10. Modifications to Terms and Services

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, adjustments to submission fees, estimated turnaround times, and procedures, which often fluctuate based on PSA's current policies and pricing. It is your responsibility to check our website and these terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of our submission service following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. Any items already in our possession or at PSA at the time of a policy change will be processed under the terms that were active at the time your submission was logged.
